Known to increase lifespan in C. elegans. Effects fat and lipid metabolism. Lowers triglycerides and White fat, and increases the ‘good’ Brown (and beige) fat. This appears to be the effect of increased SIRT6 activity, a well known longevity gene.

Rifampicin requires a prescription (but can be found offshore). It will turn your urine orange (that gave me a shock!), and needs to be used with caution especially if you have liver or kidney issues. As always ‘more studies need to be done’.
